6 Tips to bring the trophy home

 1. Follow the rules
  • * Max count of words. With hudnreds of entries, judges have limited time in checking and would be keen to read concise entries.
  • * Required. Keep within the max size of attachement allowed. And make sure to attach the CEO certificate form.
  • * Follow attachment format to PDF, .doc, .ppt, .xls & .jpg files only.
  • * No extensions. Submit by the closing date on 16 June 2017 (GMT +8.00)

2. Be clear and concise

  • * Tell a good story. Make your submission a good read to stand out from the rest.
  • * Answer the questions and communicate with clarity. Remember the judges will be looking through hundreds of entries, so be concise, clear and focused.
  • * Avoid jargon, unexplained acronyms and copy-and-pasting unedited content.
  • * Make sure to save a copy of your entry in word format and when the basics are finalised, give it to the best writer in your organisation to polish.
  • * Checking for typos such as spelling, punctuation and grammar mistakes can go a long way.

3. Honesty is the best policy

  • * Don't exaggerate, lie or include false claims, as judges will see through them.
  • * Make sure to include the CEO certificate form in your supporting documents.

4. Include supporting documents

  • * Make sure that supporting materials back up your claims in the main submission.
  • * The more comments from satisfied patients/ stakeholders etc. the better.
  • * Include relevant facts and figures from reports or ROI.
  • * Or if necessary include a document that can help convince the judges that your entry meets the criteria best.

5. Manage your time and manpower

  • * Assign someone in your organisation as the coordinator - responsible for collecting information, contacting referred patients, consulting colleagues, checking facts, chasing up, writing the initial draft and keeping an eye on timeline and deadline. Don't  forget, early submission on 2 June entitles you to two free entries!
  • * Submit early, online form will be available on 6 March 2017 - last minute submission is possible to impact on the quality of your entry.
  • * Process of writing your entries and preparing supporting materials make take longer than expected, especially if you need to get approvals.
  • * Don't fall mistake into Murphy's Law - "If there is a worse time for something to go wrong, it will happen then".
